Gibran Adelard Richie
Gibran Adelard Richie, a 15-year-old writer and aspiring film director, was born on January 10, 2009, in Jakarta, Indonesia. His love for movies started at a young age, with his first memory being at a movie theater watching The Lizard from The Amazing Spider-Man. His parents introduced him to a variety of films, from the Toy Story trilogy to the Star Wars saga, the MCU movies, and Spider-Man films. However, his perspective on films shifted when he watched his first horror movie, The Conjuring, at the age of 6, realizing that movies could also be dark and unsettling Growing up, Gibran never lost his passion for films, often begging his parents to take him to the theater for new releases. He even made a short film in his childhood, though the footage is lost. In early 2020, he met his best friend, Clarie Adriel. Although they didn’t connect right away, they quickly bonded over their shared interests, leading them to create a series called "The Revengers." This project became their passion, creating over 15 seasons and many episodes, including spin-offs and a reboot they prefer not to discuss. Gibran explored the worlds of Marvel and DC, writing series for Spider-Man, Batman, and Nightwing, while Adriel focused on his Red Hood series. By 2022, their writing collaboration slowed down as school took priority, and they found themselves too lazy to continue. Conversations about a new season of The Revengers never came to fruition and remained just as an idea. Adriel stopped writing entirely in 2023, while Gibran continued to write down new ideas to keep himself entertained and improve his writing skills. They often discussed ideas for hours, but their writing hardly progressed beyond a few pages. In 2024, the spark for filmmaking reignited when Adriel expressed interest in writing again. He began asking Gibran for ideas, leading to a collaborative time loop drama inspired by Palm Springs (2022). They spent weeks discussing this concept, with Adriel leaning towards a romantic angle and Gibran focusing on the dramatic aspects. Although neither screenplay is finished. Adriel created a short film for a school project, while Gibran dedicated himself to writing multiple projects, including Idiot Agents, The Life of Paul Jr., Nostalgia, Notoriety, and Reigner. Gibran has completed Reigner but is currently polishing it, and he's also working on Idiot Agents. Though the stories they’ve written have never reached the public eye, their friends are aware of their creative endeavors. Gibran and Adriel share a common dream of becoming a directing duo, and they are committed to supporting each other on this journey.
